Newton Stewart Golf Club is a superb 18-hole parkland course measuring 5840 yards (par 69) with spectacular views from every hole. You may even spot the occasional deer wandering across the magnificent course.
Just south of Newton Stewart, a 10 minute drive, is the 9-hole Wigtown & Bladnoch Golf Club measuring 5462 yards (par 68)

Set in the picturesque Dee Valley, about a 35 minute drive away, is the Tongland Family Golf Centre, which has stunning views surrounding the entire 9-hole parkland course.
St. Medan Golf Club at Monreith; one of the most stunning locations for a coastal 9-hole golf course anywhere in Scotland, with views seaward to the Isle of Man. Look out for the bronze otter statue on the drive down to the course in memory of the 'Ring of Bright Water' and 'Tarka the Otter' author Gavin Maxwell, who spent much of his childhood near Monreith.
