Travelling to Newton Stewart
By car, take the A75 Euroroute, which crosses the south west of Scotland from Stranraer in the west to Gretna at the English border. Newton Stewart is 25 miles from Stranraer, 50 miles from Dumfries, and only 2 hours drive from Glasgow or Carlisle, 3 hours from Edinburgh or Newcastle.
Ferries from Northern Ireland run to Stranraer and Cairnryan from Belfast & Larne. See P&O or Stena websites for more information.
By Train, the nearest Rail links are at Stranraer, Barrhill and Dumfries.
National Rail enquiries. Buses connect from stations to Newton Stewart.
By Air, the nearest international airports are Glasgow and Prestwick.
